Is there a contract?
No. Beacon is month-to-month. Cancel anytime and your coverage runs to the end of the current 30-day billing period.
Are payments refundable?
The monthly premium is non-refundable, the same way insurance is — but you can cancel whenever you like. For a Mayday rescue, the first $250 is non-refundable because it covers the investigation and tooling; the final $250 is only due if you're satisfied, and waived if you're not.
What if I'm hacked while I'm on Beacon?
Then the cleanup is free. That's the entire point of the plan — you're covered. No rescue fee, no upcharge.
Is this a replacement for my web developer?
No, and we're upfront about that. Beacon keeps your site updated, secure, and healthy. When you have a real technical problem, you get an assessment included; if the fix is involved development work, we quote it flatly and up front, and you decide whether to go ahead.
How fast is a Mayday rescue?
Our goal is a clean, hardened site back online within 72 hours of your go-ahead. Most sites are well inside that; if yours is unusually complex, we'll tell you before you pay a cent.
Who actually does the work?
We do — Steven and Andréa, personally. We're a two-person studio in Tyler, Texas, and we don't use contractors or outsource a single thing. The person reading your message is the person fixing your site.
Will I be able to reach a real person?
Yes. Once we're working together, you get a direct line to us — not a ticket queue, not a call center. You reach one of the two people who actually do the work.
How do you handle my passwords and credentials?
Very carefully. You hand them over through a secure, one-time-view channel — encrypted so we never store them in the clear, and destroyed after a single view. Even we only get one look. We'll walk you through exactly how.
Do you work on any host?
Just about any standard WordPress host. If yours is unusual, we'll let you know before you're committed to anything.
How do I pay?
Beacon is a simple monthly subscription. Mayday is split into two $250 payments — a deposit to start, and the balance on delivery, only if you're satisfied.
