No surprises
Refund & Cancellation Policy
We’d rather tell you exactly how this works before you pay than surprise you after. Here’s our full policy for each service. It’s part of our Terms of Service.
Beacon (monthly care)
Beacon is a month-to-month subscription, and the monthly premium is non-refundable— the same way an insurance premium is. You’re paying for coverage across that period, not for a deliverable at the end of it.
- Cancel anytime. Your coverage runs to the end of the current 30-day billing period, and you won’t be billed again after that.
- We don’t pro-rate or refund the current period, but you keep the protection you paid for until it ends.
- If a site under active Beacon coverage is compromised during your coverage period, the cleanup is included — that’s the point of the plan.
Mayday (one-time rescue)
Mayday is deliberately structured so your last no-cost off-ramp comes after you’ve seen what’s wrong:
- The assessment and written report are free and carry no obligation. If you decide not to proceed, you owe nothing.
- Once you approve the plan and remediation begins, the $250 deposit is non-refundable — it covers the investigation, tooling, and time we commit to your rescue.
- The final $250 is due on delivery, and only if you’re satisfied. If we don’t get you to a clean, working result you’re happy with, that balance is waived.
In short: non-refundability attaches only when the work actually starts, and never before you’ve had a free look at the full picture.
Compass & Harbor (domain & DNS)
Compass and Harbor are one-time services, invoiced up front. Once the diagnostic or setup work begins, the fee is non-refundable, because the value is in the work itself. The exact scope, price, and terms are confirmed with you before anything starts.
Custom work
Custom design and development is quoted per project. Refund and milestone terms are set out in that project’s quote or engagement, which controls.
